2023 'The Kinky Alpaca' Grenache Rosé
Colour: A deep peach colour.
Aroma: On the nose, honeydew and rockmelon. It smells bright, fresh and so drinkable.
Palate: No added sugar. The wine was filtered through mesh only.
We did not filter the wine to remove the haze as the nose and palate were so pleasant and bright.
The Vineyard: The fruit was grown in the Foggo Road vineyard from vines estimated to be as old as 1928. The vineyard guys aren't happy we have used premium fruit to make this Rosé (it is typically made from young vines). But it just goes to show.. the Rosé is bright, didn't need any sugar and is amazingly drinkable.
